DIY: Bleached and Distressed Tee

Ok so this past weekend was the Chris Brown Party Tour (it was Amazing!!!) and I wanted to be casual cute but I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I spent weeks trying to figure what I was going to wear. Lately I have been into the oversized distressed and bleached T-shirts and I was like 💡we may have something here… so here’s the thing I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on an outfit I already spent money on the tickets (yea I’m cheap lol). The way I got around spending a lot of money was go to the thrift store/goodwill find a graffiti tee that I like and distress that.  So that’s exactly what I did I spent a wimping $2.30 😳😳😳😋🙌🏾🙌🏾
Now that I found the short I needed to figure out the next step. The things You’ll need is

  1. Bleach
  2. Spray bottle
  3. Scissors/knife
  4. Creativity 😜

That’s it!!!

First thing is find a location inside or outside your house where you can work on. A place where you wouldn’t mind bleach to get on it. I laid my shirt on top of a closed container. Next, I placed the tee on top and grabbed scissors and a knife and randomly scrapped them against the shirt.  Trick is to pull on the shirt while scrapping so it adds tension on the shirt and the wholes start to appear randomly. I did this to the front back and sleeves of the shirt so it was consistent. Following I cut a triangle at the top near the collar to show a little skin. This is what it looked like before the bleach
I know I know!! it looks crazy but things get better I promise! Next I put the bleach in the spray bottle and sprayed the shirt on random places then took the lid off the bottle and used the straw/tube thingy majig and dropped bleach over the shirt. I did this spraying and dripping to only the front and let the bleach seap through to the back and whatever came through was good enough. ***Tip*** once you spray the bleach there is no back tracking so be confident in your spraying lol
This is like a minute or so after spraying/dripping

Once I was okay with the shirt I ronsed it on cold water hung it on a hanger and let it air dry

I was so excited because it looked so bomb!! And it was my first time! I was so excited to wear this shirt.  So the next day I tried it on and I didn’t like how the sleeves hung so I cut the ends of the sleeves so they rolled slightly added a little more holes to the sleeves and Viole Magic!!! We have a MASTERPIECE LOL
